Emails, Excel files, Word files, PDF are the currency of due diligence. With all parties typically cascading a blizzard of partially complete documents all the way through until completion. At any point in time, neither party (which could involve dozens of people) has a correct LIVE view of where each document and stage of diligence is up to. This leaves the buyer perpetually in the dark, waiting for news and the seller unclear on whether light is at the end of the tunnel or whether that is an oncoming train of further information requests?
